Sebastian Carpenter is a Manager of Propulsion Engineering at SpaceX. He joined as a propulsion engineer and advanced to management through three promotions in under three years, now leading teams responsible for propulsion hardware across development, qualification, and flight. He has built connections across the aerospace and defense ecosystem and advocates for AI tooling that can shorten engineering design and analysis cycles. With training in mechanical and product-development engineering, he works at the boundary between physical systems and software-enabled engineering.
